• There will be no learning session this month.
• Right after business wraps up, we’ll begin pre-judging beers for Fugetaboutit!

No problem! You’re welcome to stick around, grab a pint of Tanasi’s beer, and see how the judging process works. It’s a great chance to learn more about competitions while enjoying some fellowship.

• Planning the Flanders Red bottling session happening on Saturday, June 21st – we’ll go over final prep and details.
• A look ahead at new opportunities brewing for members and the club.
• Discussion around some important club changes – come share your thoughts and be in the loop.

Join us for our May meeting at Five Wits Brewing Company!

This month, we’ll be sharing updates on the Sour Barrel project (Flanders Red aged in a Chattanooga Whiskey barrel) and discussing plans for the upcoming Chattanooga Craft Beer Festival on the 24th.

Whether you’ve been brewing for years or are just curious about getting involved, this is a great chance to connect, share ideas, and enjoy some excellent beer with fellow Mobsters.

This month, we’re excited to welcome member Chris McAlexander, who will give a short presentation on a soon-to-be-announced topic. We will also discuss the upcoming Chattanooga Beer Fest, which will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025. (Hint: If you haven’t started brewing for the event, be thinking about starting soon!)

There will be a few other topics of interest, including another possible club contest.

As always, bring a brew to share if you’ve got one, or just come hang out and enjoy some great beer and even better company. New folks are always welcome!

The dues for your 2022 membership with the Barley Mob Brewers are now due. Membership costs are $30 for an individual membership and $40 for a family membership. You can pay via the Paypal link at the bottom left-hand side of this page, or you can make arrangements with Mark Gregory to pay with cash, check, or other negotiable assets. If you joined the club in October, November, or December 2021, you are not required to pay dues, as we allow your 2021 membership to carry over. A final notice will go out at the end of February. If you don’t pay, you will be removed from the email list and be forced to drink seltzers.

Membership perks include:

• 10% discount on homebrew supplies at Beverage World
• Free shipping of entries to homebrew competitions
• Bulk grain and bulk hop buys
• Insurance at all club functions
• Bottle(s) of the English Barleywine aged in Chattanooga Whiskey Barrel

Registration is now open for The Barley Mob’s BJCP sanctioned competition, Fugetaboutit!

You can now register your entries and register to judge, steward, or volunteer.

The competition is limited to the first 200 paid entries.

Final judging for Fugetaboutit! as well as the awards ceremony and an awesome raffle will be held on Saturday November 6 at Pax Breu Rium at 516 E. Main St. Chattanooga TN 37408.
